Rush "Time Machine" (dvdrip)

de Eduardo para vc de presente show rush em dvd em avi rush time machine Boas entradas e obrigado pelos posts

By Eduardo (ré,ré) o lobo precisa descobrir de quem ganhamos o presente, ai meu deus e meus séculos....

Time Machine 2011: Live In Cleveland contará com o show na íntegra, trazendo as seguintes canções:

Set 1:

The Spirit of Radio / Time Stand Still / Presto / Stick It Out / Workin' Them Angels / Leave That Thing Alone / Faithless / BU2B (Brought Up To Believe) / Freewill / Marathon / Subdivisions

Set 2:

Tom Sawyer / Red Barchetta / YYZ / Limelight / The Camera Eye / Witch Hunt / Vital Signs / Caravan / Love 4 Sale (Drum solo) / Acoustic Guitar Solo / Closer To The Heart / 2112 Overture / The Temples of Syrinx / Far Cry

Encore:

La Villa Strangiato (with polka intro) / Working Man (with reggae intro and Cygnus X-1: Book I teaser)

Material Bônus:

The Real History Of Rush: Episode 2
Outtakes from History Of Rush: Episodes 2 & 17
Outtakes from I Still Love You Man
Live from Laura Secord Secondary School (full clip from BLTS)

The Hoochie Coochie Men "John Lord" Live at the Basement (dvdrip) by Poucosiso

"Grato!
Me comoveu!
Sds!

Live At The Basement

Smoky, bluesy, witty, honest, basic.

Live At The Basement highlights Jon Lord as the exquisite master of rock'n'blues Hammond.

Backed by a low-key blues band, he effortlessly makes his beast weep, roar and whine.

The comfortably seated sell-out audience is taken by the hand and lead at a leisurely pace through a competent mixture of traditional blues classics and the odd original song.

The show was broadcast live online at the time, and such was the intensity and excitement of the performance that the webcast inspired instant goosebumps in this online viewer on the other side of the globe.

As they were held up by a TV appointment, the band arrives late onstage.

'We were live on TV', quibs Lord - 'it's better than being dead on TV!'The atmosphere soon intensifies as Lord proceeds to mesmerise the crowd with dazzling improvisations thought never to appear again.

In particular the passages where he signals for the backing to pause and let him take the lead on his own are entranching.

Snatches of Lazy and passages that transport you back to Lord's early career marathon solos abound.

Between the songs Jon Lord entertains the crowd with anecdotes from an illustrious career with the odd loving stab at his old soloing opponent Ritchie Blackmore.

Sadly an eloquent comment on the then impending war in Iraq has been edited out.

The camera work is right on the spot, offering pristine close ups of the maestro's hands at work.

The Basement DVD lets you view it all again in the comfort of your living room.

Turn the lights down and the volume up and you're right there next to the snarling Hammond.

Fans of Jon Lord's signature Hammond work will treasure the golden moments on this DVD.

Live At The Basement was filmed at Sydney's famous downtown The Basement venue on February 9, 2003.

Save for one or two between-song comments, the DVD features the complete show. The story so far...

When Bob Daisley returned to live in Sydney, Australia in 1997, he soon re-established a connection with Tim Gaze. They'd been in Kahvas Jute together in 1970 and Bob had always rated Tim as a very good guitarist and kept in touch over the many years. Tim had a blues band called The Blues Doctors at the time and invited Bob to do some gigs with them.

Bob picks up the story from here...

I've always been a fan of the blues. I agree with the great Willie Dixon when he said "Blues is the roots, everything else is the shoots". Soon after the first few gigs that we did, Tim asked me to join as a permanent member, which I agreed to do. At that time the line-up was Tim on lead vocals and guitar, Rob Grosser on drums, Jim Conway on harmonica and yours truly on bass. I suggested that we start afresh with a new name and suggested The Hoochie Coochie Men, after the Willie Dixon penned song "I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man", an old blues standard.

In 2000 we recorded our first album "The Hoochie Coochie Men" with the above line-up. We did various gigs, clubs, restaurants etc. but had a pretty non-eventful year during 2002, until in January, 2003 I got a phone call from Drew Thompson who working with Jon Lord on his tour in Australia.

His first question was, "do you know Jon Lord"? I told him that I did and asked him why. He told me that Jon was in Sydney to play at the Opera House and that he wanted to do some other shows as well. As it happened, Jon was staying just down the road from where I live so I phoned Jon, arranged a dinner and chat and gave him a copy of The Hoochies' album, after which Jon and I discussed doing some shows with The Hoochies. Now at that stage, we, THCM, hadn't played together for about a year so we got together and rehearsed in preparation for some shows with Jon as "The Hoochie Coochie Men featuring Jon Lord". We did one show in Melbourne where, at the sound-check, we did our first and only rehearsal with Jon - but that night all went well. The next day we flew up to Sydney to play at The Basement that night. We did a sound-check in the afternoon and then headed over to the ABC television studios to play a couple of songs live on the show "The Fat", then straight back to The Basement to be filmed doing our two one-hour sets there, the result being the live DVD and CD "Jon Lord with The Hoochie Coochie Men Live at The Basement".

That night at The Basement, Jimmy Barnes, a friend of us all, got up and sang a couple of songs with us, "I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man" being one of them. We did one more show at Coolum in Queensland where Jimmy attended and got up with us once more and fun was had by all, we had a ball (or two).

The DVD and CD were both received well so I spoke to everyone about doing a studio album, which all were keen to do. Tim, Rob and I got together whenever possible during the end of 2005 and throughout 2006 to write, arrange and record at Rob's studio Disgracelands with Rob as engineer.

When the recorded songs were in good enough shape I took them over to London to record Jon's keyboard parts at Olympic Studios in Barnes, with first-class engineer Darren Schneider from the U.S. Later in 2006 we had the pleasure of including three other guest vocalists on the record, Jimmy Barnes sang on two tracks as did Ian Gillan and Jeff Duff.

As producer, I am more than happy with the end result, a blues album that packs hard-rock punch with well thought out arrangements and Tim singing and playing better than ever. The mix was done by Steve Scanlon in Melbourne, a fine job he did I must say. There'll be a few sore bums around with this kick-arse rhythm section too! Everybody played and sang great, well done evryone! By the way, it's entitled "Danger: White Men Dancing."

I hope you all enjoy our new record when it's released this year.

All the best, kind regards,
Bob Daisley.Tracks:

Eric Johnson "Venus Isle"

Billy Cobham and George Duke Live at the Hofstra Playhouse 1976

Jon Blues Project Lord Live

This has elements of the old Apollo Theatre in Harlem Rhythm and Blues Revues of the early 50s and the procession of solo singers and instrumentalists keeps it interesting and fascinating. In 1982 the Rock and Blues Circus toured Germany with Jon, Colin, Pete, Chris Farlowe and others, while in the UK another line-up with Chris, Brian Auger, Colin, Spencer Davis and Pete went out under the name of Blues Reunion.

Other old friends like Miller, Zoot and Tony Ashton were brought into this. Various other band names were used along the way, Endangered Species, Daddy and the Steamers etc but in essence the success of the shows lies in the drive and feeling produced by these virtuoso old friends and in the fun they have in doing it.PETE YORK – drums
In the 1960’s Pete was part of the successful the Spencer Davis Group. Pete then joined Eddie Hardin to form Hardin & York, „the World’s Smallest Big Band“. He toured with Klaus Doldinger’s Passport, Chris Barber’s Jazzband. The American Blues Legends and star soloists from blues, jazz and rock like Sonny Boy Williamson, Eric Clapton and Johnny Griffin. Pete appeared with Jon Lord’s orchestral projects Windows and Sarabande. They first played R & B together in the Rock & Blues Circus in the 80MILLER ANDERSON – guitar and vocals
His first name band was the Keef Hartley Band. He wrote much of the material they recorded on their several successful LPs and was the impressive frontman when they appeared at Woodstock in 1969. Miller went on to be featured with Savoy Brown, Stan Webb’s Chicken Shack, Blood Sweat and Tears, Marc Bolan’s T. Rex, Mick Taylor, Donovan, Mountain, the Spencer Davis Group, Pete York’s Super Drumming TV series, Jon Lord’s orchestral projects and used to be with the British Blues Quintet. He now leads his own Miller Anderson Band on tour in Europe and continues to compose original songs for his performances.MAGGIE BELL – vocals,
One of the most exciting singers of the 60s and 70s with the legendary Stone The Crows, also Peter Green, Steve Howe and Taj Mahal. The raw power of her singing and her stage presence have not diminished one iota over her long career and whether she is on the road with Dave Kelly, Chris Farlowe or the British Blues Quintet she earns standing ovations from the fans of all ages.COLIN HODGKINSON – bass
Began his bass-playing career with Alexis Korner, where he learned the roots of the blues. His group Back Door was a highly original concept and enjoyed great success. He went on to be part of Charlie Watts Rocket 88, David Coverdale’s Whitesnake, the Olympic Rock and Blues Circus with Jon Lord, Pete York and Chris Farlowe. He also toured with Brian Auger, Chris Rea, Frank Diez and the Spencer Davis Group. Colin also appeared with Pete York in the Super Drumming TV series.ZOOT MONEY – keyboards
Became one of the first Hammond organ soloists and a highly individual singer with his Big Roll Band in the 60s. His recording of Big Time Operator was a 60s hit. Often voted the favourite band of other stars of the time, Zoot’s mix of blues, soul, jazz and raving lunacy were perfect for the era. Andy Summers (later of Police) was his guitarist and Zoot later collaborated with Alexis Korner and Eric Burdon. He has also acted in British films and TV and his personality has enlivened projects with Alan Price, Bobby Tench, Humble Pie and his own British Blues Quintet.Line-up:

The Zimmers - A Banda mais velha do Rock'roll

Então some porra!!!!!!!!

O eufemismo acontece no refrão da música “ I hope I die before I get old” ( Espero que eu morra antes de envelhecer) sendo cantada por idosos, bem idosos mesmo.

O lançamento mundial de “Lust for life” foi dia 06/10. A banda começou devido a um documentário produzido pela BBC britânica intitulado “Power to the People”, e que mostrava as angústias dos mais diversos grupos de pessoas na Inglaterra. Desde então, a banda faz alguns covers bizarros.

(SinViral)

A banda gravou covers do Who, Beatles, Prodigy, Eric Clapton, Frank Sinatra, e outros

VA – Dante’s Divine Comedy Part III – Paradiso (2010)

The Divine Comedy is composed of 14,233 lines that are divided into three canticas (Ital. pl. cantiche) — Inferno (Hell), Purgatorio (Purgatory), and Paradiso (Paradise) — each consisting of 33 cantos (Ital. pl. canti). An initial canto serves as an introduction to the poem and is generally considered to be part of the first cantica, bringing the total number of cantos to 100. The number three is prominent in the work, represented here by the length of each cantica. The verse scheme used, terza rima, is hendecasyllabic (lines of eleven syllables), with the lines composing tercets according to the rhyme scheme aba, bcb, cdc, ded, ....

The poem is written in the first person, and tells of Dante's journey through the three realms of the dead, lasting from the night before Good Friday to the Wednesday after Easter in the spring of 1300. The Roman poet Virgil guides him through Hell and Purgatory; Beatrice, Dante's ideal woman, guides him through Heaven. Beatrice was a Florentine woman whom he had met in childhood and admired from afar in the mode of the then-fashionable courtly love tradition which is highlighted in Dante's earlier work La Vita Nuova.

In central Italy's political struggle between Guelphs and Ghibellines, Dante was part of the Guelphs, who in general favored the Papacy over the Holy Roman Emperor. Florence's Guelphs split into factions around 1300, the White Guelphs, and the Black Guelphs. Dante was among the White Guelphs who were exiled in 1302 by the Lord-Mayor Cante de' Gabrielli di Gubbio, after troops under Charles of Valois entered the city, at the request of Pope Boniface VIII, who supported the Black Guelphs. This exile, which lasted the rest of Dante's life, shows its influence in many parts of the Comedy, from prophecies of Dante's exile to Dante's views of politics to the eternal damnation of some of his opponents.[citation needed]

In Hell and Purgatory, Dante shares in the sin and the penitence respectively. The last word in each of the three parts of the Divine Comedy is stelle, "stars."Inferno
Main article: Inferno (Dante)
The poem begins on the night before Good Friday in the year 1300, "halfway along our life's path" (Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita). Dante is thirty-five years old, half of the biblical life expectancy of 70 (Psalms 90:10), lost in a dark wood (understood as sin, assailed by beasts (a lion, a leopard, and a she-wolf) he cannot evade, and unable to find the "straight way" (diritta via) - also translatable as "right way" - to salvation (symbolized by the sun behind the mountain). Conscious that he is ruining himself and that he is falling into a "deep place" (basso loco) where the sun is silent ('l sol tace), Dante is at last rescued by Virgil, and the two of them begin their journey to the underworld. Each sin's punishment in Inferno is a contrapasso, a symbolic instance of poetic justice; for example, fortune-tellers have to walk with their heads on backwards, unable to see what is ahead, because that was what they had tried to do in life:

"they had their faces twisted toward their haunches
and found it necessary to walk backward,
because they could not see ahead of them.
…and since he wanted so to see ahead,
he looks behind and walks a backward path.

Allegorically, the Inferno represents the Christian soul seeing sin for what it really is, and the three beasts represent three types of sin: the self-indulgent, the violent, and the malicious. These three types of sin also provide the three main divisions of Dante's Hell: Upper Hell (the first 5 Circles) for the self-indulgent sins; Circles 6 and 7 for the violent sins; and Circles 8 and 9 for the malicious sins.Dante gazes at Mount Purgatory in an allegorical portrait by Agnolo Bronzino, painted circa 1530

Purgatorio
Main article: Purgatorio
Having survived the depths of Hell, Dante and Virgil ascend out of the undergloom, to the Mountain of Purgatory on the far side of the world. The Mountain is on an island, the only land in the Southern Hemisphere, created by the displacement of rock which resulted when Satan's fall created Hell (which Dante portrays as existing underneath Jerusalem). The mountain has seven terraces, corresponding to the seven deadly sins or "seven roots of sinfulness." The classification of sin here is more psychological than that of the Inferno, being based on motives, rather than actions. It is also drawn primarily from Christian theology, rather than from classical sources. However, Dante's illustrative examples of sin and virtue draw on classical sources as well as on the Bible and on contemporary events.

Allegorically, the Purgatorio represents the Christian life. Christian souls arrive escorted by an angel, singing in exitu Israel de Aegypto. In his Letter to Cangrande, Dante explains that this reference to Israel leaving Egypt refers both to the redemption of Christ and to "the conversion of the soul from the sorrow and misery of sin to the state of grace." Appropriately, therefore, it is Easter Sunday when Dante and Virgil arrive.

The Purgatorio is notable for demonstrating the medieval knowledge of a spherical Earth. During the poem, Dante discusses the different stars visible in the southern hemisphere, the altered position of the sun, and the various timezones of the Earth. At this stage it is, Dante says, sunset at Jerusalem, midnight on the River Ganges, and sunrise in Purgatory.Paradiso
Main article: Paradiso (Dante)

After an initial ascension, Beatrice guides Dante through the nine celestial spheres of Heaven. These are concentric and spherical, as in Aristotelian and Ptolemaic cosmology. While the structures of the Inferno and Purgatorio were based on different classifications of sin, the structure of the Paradiso is based on the four cardinal virtues and the three theological virtues.

Dante meets and converses with several great saints of the Church, including Thomas Aquinas, St Bonaventure, St Peter, and St John. The Paradiso is consequently more theological in nature than the Inferno and the Purgatorio. However, Dante admits the vision of heaven he receives is the one that his human eyes permit him to see, and the vision of heaven found in the Cantos is Dante's own personal one.

The Divine Comedy finishes with Dante seeing the Triune God. In a flash of understanding, which he cannot express, Dante finally understands the mystery of Christ's divinity and humanity, and his soul becomes aligned with God's love:

"But already my desire and my will
were being turned like a wheel, all at one speed,
by the Love which moves the sun and the other stars."Dante's personal involvement
In his allegorical description of sin (in the Inferno) and virtue (in the Purgatorio and Paradiso), Dante draws on real characters from ancient Greek and Roman myths and history, and from his own times. However, his own actions often also illustrate the concepts he is discussing. For example, Dante shares the fleshly sins of the damned at several points in the upper circles of Hell. At the first circle where the virtuous pagans who pursued honor above all else are punished by eternally knowing they have fallen short for their lack of faith, Dante shares with them their love of honor, as evidenced by the word “honor” being used repeatedly in the Canto. Similarly, at the third circle where Ciacco and other gluttons are punished for their appetites, Dante’s appetite for political information about his fellow Florentines appears equally gluttonous:

"And I to him: I wish thee still to teach me,
And make a gift to me of further speech.

Farinata and Tegghiaio, once so worthy,
Jacopo Rusticucci, Arrigo, and Mosca,
And others who on good deeds set their thoughts,

Say where they are, and cause that I may know them;
For great desire constraineth me to learn
If Heaven doth sweeten them, or Hell envenom."

Conversely, in the Purgatorio, after leaving the terrace of the proud, Dante has learned from the example set by Omberto and suppresses his own pride, declining to speak of his achievements:

"And I: Through midst of Tuscany there wanders
A streamlet that is born in Falterona,
And not a hundred miles of course suffice it;

From thereupon do I this body bring.
To tell you who I am were speech in vain,
Because my name as yet makes no great noiseTRACKLIST:

VA - Dante's Divine Comedy. Part II - Purgatorio (Canto XXIX) (4CD)

The Finnish Progressive Music Association COLOSSUS together with Musea will release a concept album (3 CDs) based on the first cantica of the Italian Epic Poem “The Divine Comedy”.

The 34 “cantos” of the INFERNO will be assigned to 34 bands. Each band participating in the project has chosen one “canto” and will make their music inspired by it.

The maximum length of the songs can be 7 min and the songs can be either instrumental or with vocals.

All keyboards used on the songs will be original 70's instruments (Hammond, Mellotron, Minimoog, Clavinet, Fender Rhoades etc.) or be emulated with the best technology of today (no drum machines or programming is allowed!) and an early 70’s atmosphere is preferred (Genesis, Yes, EL&P, VDGG, etc.).

The bands participating in the project come from all around the world (for example, Europe, South America, U.S.A., Canada and Japan.).

Release date: early 2008

In 1996-98 I was the producer for an audio-book version of Dante's Divine Comedy, in a new English translation by Benedict Flynn. The reader was Heathcote Williams, and when we came to record Canto 33 of Inferno, I found myself transported by the power and emotion of his reading. It occurred to me that afternoon, that one day I would like to make a musical setting of these verses.

"The opportunity to realise this project came last year, when the Hilliard Ensemble invited me to compose something for them, and this was the project I proposed to them. Ugolino's monologue in Canto 33 is remarkable within the context of the Divine Comedy, in that it is the only time we are given a full account of a personal story: elsewhere we are given snippets or allusions, but Dante does not make time to re-iterate tales he believes we should know already. In this case, the scenario clearly took hold of his imagination: a traitor imprisoned with his entire family, and eventually condemned to starve to death together in their sealed tower. Dante has Ugolino tell his own story simply, calmly and in pathetic detail.

"I have begun the drama as Dante first encounters the frozen lake which lies at the bottom of the pit of Hell, cutting a few lines from time to time en route to Ugolino's story, which I have set complete. My primary concern has been to keep Dante's words clear at all times, and thus you will find in this 'contemporary' music many devices more usually encountered in music of much earlier times.I hope that I have been able to do this without wasting the incredible talents of the Hilliard Ensemble. The challenge for them is less in the notes they have to sing, than in the large number of words which I ask them to enunciate with expression, but also with maximum clarity. And that is my suggestion to you: that you do not close your eyes and let the sound of the music drift over you, but that you accompany Dante on this section of his journey, line by line."

VA - Dante's Divine Comedy Part I - Inferno (Canto IX) (4CD) 2008

Wikipedia

"The new Colossus/Musea project, a 4 CD set based on Dante's Inferno Inferno features 34 pieces with 34 different artists of about 7 minutes in length, covering each of the 34 "cantos" of Dante's epic.

Musea’s collaboration with Finnish Colossus Society has been fruitful in these last years, and the newest release is the most ambitious so far: a 4 cd set, with a comprehensive booklet, featuring 34 bands to address the 34 cantos of the “Inferno” part of the legendary 14th century epic poem “The Divine Comedy” by Dante Alighieri (Purgatory and Paradise will be the concept of future releases, in order to complete the trilogy).

With such an amount of bands coming from different grounds within the progressive aesthetics, it is only natural that the conducting line is only maintained by the story and by the usage of vintage instruments (moog, mellotron, etc) which are common to all the guest bands.

In part, and besides the fact that this approach secures a wide array of styles and different musical perspectives, it is also true that it makes the album not being as cohesive and focused as the Epic Poem that muses it would deserve.

But hey! There are 4hours+ of pure “regressive” symphonic rock to fully enjoy!
With such heavy weight bands such as Little Tragedies, Consorzio Acqua Potabile, Ars Nova, Simon Says, Raimundo Rodulfo, Nexus, Groovector, Nemo & Nathan Mahl fronting this ambitious release, this time around Musea/Colossus have chosen to give opportunity to almost unknown bands to contribute to the huge package, and the truth is that some of those have grabbed that chance and trust to make themselves noticed and provide some new “voices” to the scene, which listeners will undoubtedly be waiting for confirmation in their (now awaited) own releases.

In this pack I would (especially) consider (from the almost all instrumental third cd) Ozone Player with their instrumental swirling track that introduces slight psychedelia; Nota Bene, a folk band that has introduced a complex symphonic instrumental; Advent with their experimental eeriness; Contrappunto Project with a neo-classical approach on grand piano; Corte Aulica (in the 4th cd) with a modern keyboard/guitar cephalous based prog played in vintage style; Atlantis 1001 (1st cd) with an emotional approach and haunting tapestries in the background; and Willowglass (2nd cd) with great guitar lines and a soft Scandinavian symphonic feel.

Overall, this is a very good symphonic rock showdown, introducing promising new bands entwined with some already respectable ones to provide the proghead listener with a gigantic sympho time capsule. Another winning project that will be most appreciated by those who like the return to the vintage sounds of the 70’s prog leanings.

Cafeine "La Citadelle"

Olá Dead or Alive

Cafeine La Citadelle - 1994

T
CAFEINE were a French band, found in 1990 by Patrick Jobard (guitar), Christophe Houssin (keyboards) and Laurent Houssin (bass guitar).

The first line-up included also Bertrand Peyrat on drums and Jean Chiriaux on vocals.

The band recorded two demos with great success and was offered a contract by MSI,however it was the departure of Houssin,Peyrat and Chiriaux which slowed things down.
CAFEINE continued playing live with Jean-Christophe Lamoureux on bass and Hervé Morel on drums, while new vocalist Philippe Ladousse joined a little later.

Finally the band's debut ''La citadelle'' was released in July 1994,STYLE: A fine release of melodic Progressive Rock with a modern sound (often flirting with neo progressive),yet the influences by 70's bands are obvious.

Keyboards have a strong classical flavor and when they doesn't it's the guitarist who takes over with plenty of mind- blowing melodic solos.

Lots of instrumental parts with enough complexity and a good amount of strong, poetic and lyrical performances.

From the powerful, filled with interplays compositions to the more relaxed,laid-back vocal-led themes,it's a certain aim for the band to keep the album's good balance.INFLUENCES/SOUNDS LIKE: Any guitar/keyboard-driven symphonic band that springs to your mind.

From GENESIS and CAMEL to ANGE and ANYONE'S DAUGHTER with an obvious neo reference.

Often I am reminded of EXPLORER'S CLUB ''Age of impact''.

PLUS: Keyboard work is simply beautiful with a mass of memorable symphonic outbursts.

Guitars are also very strong, both on rhythmic and solo parts.

Vocals come also as a plus,as Ladousse is a decent singer without an over the top moment.

The album in general is very melodic and maintains a great balance throughout. Some more complex parts will satisfy the more demanding progheads.MINUS: You won't find something you haven't heard in the past.

The production is flat, burring at moments the fantastic keybord and piano work,a common thing for most of late-90's/early-90's bands.

Drums and especially percussion sound very very plastic.

WILL APPEAL TO:...fans of Symphonic/Neo Prog,who propably consider it a must-have.

CONCLUSION/RATING: A carefully-arranged album by a very talented band in the vein of Classic Progressive Rock can be nothing more than a succesful purchase.

Fine melodies,an ethereal atmosphere and the superb balace guarantee a pleasant listening...3.5 stars.Studio Album, released in 1994
